Welcome to Brain Matters Imaging and Treatment Centers.

Doesn’t it just make sense that a doctor should know how your brain is functioning BEFORE any particular treatment is prescribed for you?

Today, millions of people are taking what are literally mind altering drugs for brain based disorders such as ADHD, Bipolar disorder, Depression and Anxiety. And most of their doctors have never used any diagnostic tool to look at how their brains are actually working.  Instead, patients are told “try this drug and if doesn’t work we’ll try others until we get one that does work”. Thus patients are forced to play a game of “medication roulette” when it comes to the health of the most important organ in their body, their brain. It doesn’t have to be this way.

TREATMENT DIRECTED BY FUNCTIONAL BRAIN IMAGING.
Brain Matters Imaging and Treatment Centers doctors utilize the most advanced brain imaging technology available that can see how your brain is actually functioning. With this information in hand, our doctors are able to use brain imaging to direct them in developing a model treatment plan for you.

MINIMIZING MEDICATIONS.

Brain Matters has listened to the large numbers of patients that have continually told us that they want treatment options that either don’t include medications or at least don’t solely rely on medications. Consequently, Brain Matters doctors can now offer treatment options that are based on the goal of minimizing medications.

We believe that medications can and do play an important role in many effective treatment plans for patients. We also believe that there are a number of effective non-medication based treatment options that have been proven to work for many people with certain brain based disorders. It is a fact that the over use of medications is a rampant problem in the treatment of brain based disorders.

Our goal is to find an effective balance between the non-medication and medication portions of a truly effective treatment plan for our patients.
