CereScan is a Denver-based corporation that was formed in April 2008. Its principal office is in Cherry Creek. CereScan has acquired the assets of Brain Matters Inc., a company previously engaged in providing functional brain imaging for almost four years. CereScan anticipates opening a Denver imaging center in January 2009, with plans to open 20 additional centers across the nation during the next few years.
CereScan utilizes state-of-the-art gamma camera technology, high-definition imaging software, and a proprietary process to provide high resolution SPECT images of brain function and brain physiology. CereScan’s images are used by physicians to assist with thediagnosis and subsequent treatment of brain disorders, as well as by attorneys and workers compensation administrators to adjudicate brain injury cases.
